Acton Institute
The Acton Institute is a think-tank whose mission is to promote a free and virtuous society characterized by individual liberty and sustained by religious principles. To promote a more profound understanding of the coming together of faith and liberty, Acton involves members of religious, business, and academic spheres in its various conferences, seminars, publications, and academic activities. It is our hope that by demonstrating the compatibility of faith, liberty, and free economic activity, religious leaders and entrepreneurs can contribute by helping to shape a society that is secure, free, and virtuous.
Acton’s largest annual conference is Acton University – a four-day exploration of theology, philosophy, entrepreneurship, international development, and market-based economics. Bringing together leaders from all over the world in business and the church, academia and the ministry, the developing and developed world, and students of all ages, Acton University is a conference dedicated to connecting moral and religious principles to economic and personal liberty.

Acton University High School Cohort
Acton University High School Cohort:
For the second year, Acton University welcomes high school students ages 15-18 to a four-day cohort experience designed to explore the foundations of freedom, faith, and free markets. Participation is only available alongside a parent or authorized guardian registered for the conference. Over the course of the conference, students will learn from scholars and participate in breakout groups and hands-on workshops designed to help them unpack and understand the ideas of a free and
virtuous society.
Students will leave the conference with a robust understanding of and ability to defend the intellectual and practical foundations for a free society, while making new friends and gaining global perspective through interactions with leaders in business, the church, academia, and ministry.
Don’t miss this immersive exploration of theology, philosophy, international development, and market-based economics this summer. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn and grow as they prepare for college and enter the
marketplace of ideas.
